Yes as you can see Nathan has a cast on his arm. No we are not sure yet if his arm is broken but the doctors want to treat it as a broken bone. The poor kid has done pretty good with the cast, which if you know Nathan was a huge concern. He was quite upset that he could not dress himself for a few days until he figured it out but now he is okay. He has not let the cast slow him down. He still does all the stuff Nathan normally does. We go back to the doctor on Wednesday to cut the cast off and to take more xrays to see if it is broken.
So yesterday, while at the urgent care center, Zachary is crying really hard. The nurse comes in and asks some questions then leaves. Zachary is still crying but all of a sudden he stops and tells me to lean over so he can tell me "omething." In the bravest voice he could muster he says "Mom don't let the doctor take my clothes off me because I have my batman pajamas on and he will find out I am batman."
So tonight Zachary was hurt bad enough I decided to take him to the urgent care center. We were lucky with a nice bruise and only a small stick that ended up in the wound that caused both the doctor and me to think it was an open fracture. He's back to normal now even though the doctor told him to take it easy. So much so that he went back to jumping on the tramp and has hurt Nathan. Nathan is crying because his shoulder and arm hurt. Don sees no need for another trip to the doctor but if his arm is still hurting him in the morning we are heading there first thing.
Today is my ten year anniversary. It's hard to believe its been ten years since we were married as the time seems to have flown. We were married at the now closed Pondersosa Ranch in Incline Village Nevada. We were married in the church from the television show Bonanza. If you ever catch an old episode of the show look for the church we were married in. We had our reception about a month later at the Ogden Ice Sheet. The first wedding reception ever held there. Our reception was the day JFK Jr's plan disappeared.
Funny story about today, neither Don nor I have had the time to get anniversary cards so today I mentioned needing to go to the store to get one. Don says I'll go with you. Off we went to the store and while standing in the store looking at cards he says to me, "Let's save money this year by just handing each other the card we were going to buy and after we read it we can put it back and leave the store with an extra $10 in our pocket." Not a bad idea as I am not really a card person. I've gone along with his tradition of a card just because its something he does.
Sorry Crystal but your special surprise on here won't be done until tomorrow. Please forgive us! The twins decided at 8:30 tonight that they needed to play with the slip and slide. Did not matter to them that the temperature was hovering around 55 outside. Nathan was the smart one and stayed inside.
I was not thrilled to go. I'm still not happy that I went but I will admit it was more fun than I thought it would be. Honestly I think we would have been done by 3pm if Don had not forced us to stay longer. The Thunderbird show was great which made the long worth while. I , however, would prefer not to go again anytime soon.
My husband lost two kids last night while walking the street. Nathan we found pretty quickly at a neighbors house playing but Noah was gone. Don starts up one side of the street and I stop to ask a few neighbors for help. I go up the same side of the street Don did to check backyards cause Don was not. Right about the time I decide its time to call for some help from the police a little boy on a bike comes up to me and says his mom has Noah. So down the street I go and there is Noah enjoying a few treats he picked up on the way home. My neighbor says to me when Noah came around the corner, okay so I should have went up the other side of the street, they called for him to come over to them. They said your parents are looking for you. To which Noah replies, "Oh no I am dead!" Smacking his hand to his head.
