July 24th Family party pictures

Too bad I did not get a picture as Crystal was going down the slip and slide. Guess we all will have to be happy with the picture of the very end.
Zachary, Nathan, Iggy, and Hunter in the swimming pool. As you can see Nathan was thrilled to be playing with the baby.
Iggy was in love with the pool.
Nathan going cautiously down the slip and slide. Noah is picking his nose and deciding between the rope or the slip and slide.
Zachary after he finally figures out the correct way to really slide.
Iggy wanting to go join the big kids at the slip and slide.

Noah's view of the world

It appears Noah took the camera and took a few pictures. He actually took a few good ones. Hope you enjoy!

Watch out world Noah is mad

Noah became quite upset at everyone the other night and decided to work out his anger instead of hitting everyone. He went outside and started mowing the grass. Yes we have one of those push mowers instead of a gas powered one. We are doing our part to save the planet. Buddy, meanwhile, became quite upset over Noah mowing near a hidden treasure so he dug it up and carried it around all over the backyard until Noah stopped mowing.

July Garden Pictures

The garden is doing really well. I have lost three tomato plants to a fungus but all the others are doing extremely well. I even had one tomato from a plant already. My pickle cucumbers are doing great and I hope I can produce enough to make enough pickles to last till next harvest. I ran out of the ones I canned last year in June so I almost made it. I've replanted beets, carrots, and corn in the empty slots. I harvested close to 3o pounds of peas.

4th of July Parade

Okay here comes my annual complaint about the Clearfield City 4th of July parade. And before anyone suggests volunteering to help let me tell you I did last year, join the 4th of July committee, and every single suggestion I had was either not going to work, not going to earn the city money, or was tried sometime in the last fifty years and it did not work then so it would not work now. Our parade just stinks. There is no other way to describe it. I will give credit to the two to three actual floats that were in the parade cause they deserve it. However a float is not a truck pulling a trailer with three sections of vinyl fencing with prices listed. I guess maybe because the kids were dressed in red, white, and blue it somehow ties into the 4th of July. I hear about towns that are smaller than ours having wonderful parades with floats and the high school marching band, someone local correct me if I am wrong but I do not think we had the high school band in the parade, military personnal and veterans riding in the parade. However it appears our city has sold out to the money and allows "floats" that consist of major advertising via a commerically made sign or a homemade sign on poster board of their business, a few ballons tied to the said "float" and streamers. It's like they just show up the morning of the parade and throw a few things on there. One good thing at least this year there were no check cashing business "floats."

So Part II

Nathan will be headed back to the doctor later this afternoon to have the cast put back on. The radiologist reviewed the xray and determined that there is a very area of bone healing and as such its a fractured elbow. He will be in the cast anywhere from two to six weeks. If we did not cast it and he fell and injured the bone anymore our doctor said it would take surgery to fix it at that point so to be safe, given his clumsiness he got from me, he wants to cast it again.

So

the moment everyone has been waiting for..........................................................................................................................................................
it's not broken but he has a nice size bruise on his bone. Should be a few more weeks until he is back to normal but all is good. The cast is off and he is happy.
