Day 4 of Our Vacation Part One

Legoland! The kids were so excited to go to Legoland. They loved it but I'm not sure if they want to go back. It wasn't what they were expecting I think or maybe they were somewhat tired I'm not sure. They had fun while there but they haven't talked about much since. I think Sea World was a bigger hit. Anyway we did both the park and the aquarium. I don't really think the aquarium was worth paying for but it was included on the tickets we got from the base.

Day 3 of our vacation

Sea lion looking at Noah since Noah could imitate the sounds they made.
Heading over to get Noah back behind the fence since he was jealous that Noah was out of the exhibit.
Sea lion show. The did a spoof of CSI.
I think this was the spoof of Survivor.
Penguin at the front of the exhibit.
Noah soaked after the Shipwreck Rapids ride. It was cold.
Nathan managed not to get as wet but Zach is soaked.
The boys on Shipwreck Rapids ride.
 Penguin exhibit.
 Polar bear.
 Polar bear den.
Shamu show.

So day 3 was Sea World. I have to say Don and maybe Zach were the most excited about this place. The rest of us were just okay I guess we will go. I ended up liking it and wouldn't mind going again in the future. However if we ever go again I know I will find a better map to the park then the one they gave us cause it stunk. We were lost 99% of the time we were there. Workers were no help for the most part. I almost felt like I was bugging them asking how to get somewhere. We saw the Shamu show. Of course the boys wanted front row in the soak zone. Me never. I sat on the very last row of the soak zone on the end so I could run if it looked like we might get wet. The boys were soaked. Water never hit me. My kids favorite parts of the day, other than seeing the animals they love (penguins, sea turtles, and sharks), was the Sea Lion show. For sure get to that one early as the preshow entertainment was great. My kids are still talking about the show. We were dead tired by the end of the day.

Day 2 of our vacation

We left early Sunday from Vegas and headed towards San Diego. The drive seem to be longer than from our house to Vegas but we made it. We head to the hotel we picked to stay in and they couldn't check us in early so we headed to the beach. The boys loved the beach even though it was COLD. Enjoy the pictures from the beach. We stayed at Residence Inn by Marriott on Hotel Circle. I have to say it was a great choice. More details on the hotel to come.

Day 1 of our vacation

The yummiest lunch break. It's in Fillmore Utah and the food there is really really good.
View of Vegas from our balcony in Embassy Suites.
 Nighttime view.
One of two double beds. My one complaint is I wish the beds they had were queen but I'll take the two doubles over Circus Circus anyday.
The couches in the front room were outdated compared to the rest of the room but I still loved the fact I had a couch to sit on.
The fridge, microwave, and bar area.
 The bath tub and shower.
The bedroom across from the beds.
 Sink area in the bathroom.
We left Saturday March 1st on vacation. We were headed to San Diego. However our first stop was Las Vegas. Last time we stopped in Vegas with the kids we stayed at Circus Circus and I was freaked out the entire time. Our room was down right gross and I didn't feel safe at all. Factor in 4 stops in the middle of the night by police either chasing people outside our window or such I you get the picture. So this time I researched the crap out of hotels in Vegas. I settled on Embassy Suites off the strip near the convention center. Let me just tell you it was the BEST decision ever. The place was gorgeous and SMOKE FREE. Did you catch that last thing? Smoke free in Vegas. My lungs are still thanking me for it. The room was nice and roomy. There was no funky smell like Circus Circus and I didn't fear for my life once in the middle of the night. Some added bonuses were a manager's reception in the evening with free drinks (soda, beer, or wine) and chips and salsa. Also a full breakfast that was mighty tasty. And a pool and hot tub. I could have spent my whole vacation there.
