Kids say the Darnest things at times

So today I made chocolate covered strawberries. I had the kids helping me and it took me a few minutes to realize why my pile of strawberries was getting bigger instead of smaller. Turns out Noah had no interest in the strawberry part of the chocolate covered strawberries so he was licking off the chocolate and returning the now chocolate free strawberries to the to be dipped pile. After I finally finished the strawberries I offered him the pot to get the chocolate out of and he replies, "Nope the chocolate does not taste as good without the strawberries."

I'm losing my mind

This weather had better change to nice sunny weather and soon. The boys have cabin fever bad and they are driving me nuts. Seriously I am about to up and move us to other state and/or country just so we can have nice weather on a regular basis. The worst thing about this weather is it tempts and teases the boys. One day its really nice so they can play outside and then the next its 50 degrees cooler and snowing. My boys are outdoor boys and this being stuck in the house is going to drive us all to the crazy house. I'm sensing a trip to an indoor museum where they can burn off some excess energy.

Fun and Free Saturday Project

Oh goodness I heard about the free clinics that Lowe's has and I finally took the boys. Today's project was birdhouses which is fitting since we have thousands of birds we feed in our yard. Anyway I was a little worried that the boys would grow bored or that they would not like to do it but I was wrong. The boys had a blast. They received a kit to build the bird house, googles, and an apron to take home. They were able to use kid sized hammers to build their houses and blueprints on how to build the bird house. I highly recommend this to anyone who has kids. I signed up online at Lowes to be sure to hold a spot for our kids. Home Depot offers a similar program which we will be trying soon. I did not see a space to reserve a spot online for the Home Depot.

Noah was a trooper

Yesterday Noah had phase one of his dental appointments. I was really worried about how he'd do but he was a real trooper and let them do everything they needed to be ready for his surgery next month. They fixed four small cavities and started the prep work for his front teeth. You know the three that he has busted and chipped and basically destroyed. They did not give him a shot for the cavities instead they just used nitrous oxide. I don't think he really liked the thing on his nose but he never complained. I was really impressed with how well Noah did and of all the kids I knew he'd be the best at allowing the dentist to do work on his teeth.

I have to mention that I finally found a pediatric dental office with dentists that I feel I can trust. Everyone has heard the horrible experience we had with the dentist who did Nathans teeth and I put off getting anything done with the twins because of it. We ended up at a family dentist, Dr. Bronson in Clinton, but he did not feel comfortable doing the amount of work the twins needed. He referred us to another ped dentist in Ogden but as I was leaving one of his hygienist pulled me aside and suggested PCMC dental clinic. I went home and booked an appointment with them and have to say I really like the clinic. So much different then all the other ped dentists we've seen. I feel I can actually trust them and I actually feel very comfortable with them. One drawback is that they are not preferred providers for our insurance but I'm willing to pay a little extra for the trust I have in them.
