Tree Boy

One of the twins has discovered climbing trees. He's pretty daring in the tree for a kid who is scared to do anything "scary" out of the tree. The other two boys go up but not nearly as far as Noah. I may have to revise my guess as to who will have a broken bone first.

Family Pictures

I have a friend who is starting a photography business. I was able to convince her to take some pictures of the family. She's done a wonderful job and I'm loving the pictures she took. Click here to see the pictures.

I do believe these are among the only pictures I have of me and the twins. I do not like getting my picture taken and have managed to put off getting pictures of me and the boys. Now I think we missed out on so many pictures because of my stubbornness. Yes I am not at the perfect weight and I am still carrying the "twin pregnancy weight" but we really needed a family picture.

Check out Sherri's photos. She's done a great job!

Day Out With Thomas

Just a few pictures from today's Day out with Thomas adventure. Noah was loving life and the other two were just along for the ride. I'll post a few pictures from the petting zoo at the Day out with Thomas tomorrow.

5/20/09

Not really much to say but when I don't post I get emails and texts asking why not. So here are a few random thoughts:

I've decided we need to give the kids chores. My problem is I just don't know what to give to the kids for chores. Anyone out there who has a 6 year old and a 4 year old who would tell me what chores they do?

I've moved the boys into booster seats. I'm not thrilled with the fact that we did and I wonder daily if we did the right thing. I'm a huge advocate of keeping kids rear facing to 35lbs and keeping kids harnessed to higher ages and weight limits.

Thanks Jen

Let me give you yet another thanks for placing this song in my mind.

I grew up loving this group. I remember singing their songs at school dances and such. I believe I even had a poster of them on my bedroom wall.

Zoo was school

One of the things I love about homeschooling is we can do whatever the kids want to do that day. Last Thursday the kids wanted to go to the zoo so off we went. I love the fact that our Dinosaur park membership now includes a free day at the zoo once a month. Anyway the kids had loads of fun and loved learning about all the animals. We spent almost four hours there and the kids are still talking about the animals we saw. We covered physical education (the walking), science (learning about animals), history (deciding what continent the animals were from), math (counting animals), spelling (learning how to spell new words), phonics (sounding out the names animals), and art (kids drew a picture of their favorite animal they saw that day).

Mother's Day

These are the best of the pictures that were taken. I guess no one knows how to use the zoom on my camera. Anyway we had a really fun day together. We went to a local park and cooked out and played. It was perfect since I did not have to worry about the kids at a restaurant. All of my kids were completely wore out by the time we got home and they went to bed early which was a nice treat. We had a fun time and can't wait to get together again in about 2 weeks for another cook out.
BTW Mary I win! Tauna's birthday is June 5th. Remember never ever doubt me.

The First in the Family

My sister, Tami, graduated from law school yesterday. On both sides of our family she is the first to graduate with more than just a bachelor's degree. I am very proud of her. While we have not been the closest of sisters I can not wait to have her where we can see her on a regular basis.

Congrats Tami!! I was going to do a nifty photo shoot like I did for Mary's birthday but I fell sick in the afternoon and never got around to it.

The boys say "HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT MARY!"
