After an extremely trying 4 months of school with the boys I revamp the way we are doing things for school. I know it's only been one day but it's the first day ever this school year that I didn't scream and holler at the kids or have a child refuse to continue doing school work. Obviously my decision to switch things up worked and oh my heck they actually remembered enough of what we learned to tell their grandfather tonight when he showed up at our place. So over the next few weeks I'll highlight some of the changes we have made and try to be better at keeping this blog up to date. I've become lazy at this as I've really struggled with the kids. And to be honest they almost were sent to public school at the beginning of December. Hopefully things continue to go well otherwise this journey in homeschooling may be ending.

I'm sure you will find what ends up working best for each of your boys. The important thing is that you are working your hardest to help them succeed in school and you are doing what you can to make things work.
I recently had a friend who home schooled her kids for years decide that some of them were better off in a public school. So she home schools some and public schools the others. And honestly, its ended up working out better for everyone. And i think that in the fall she will be public schooling them all.
I sometimes wonder if there ever is a perfect schooling option for our kids.
Sometimes the best laid out plans change. I hope the changes you've made will continue to make things better for all of you!
