Not really much to say but when I don't post I get emails and texts asking why not. So here are a few random thoughts:

I've decided we need to give the kids chores. My problem is I just don't know what to give to the kids for chores. Anyone out there who has a 6 year old and a 4 year old who would tell me what chores they do?

I've moved the boys into booster seats. I'm not thrilled with the fact that we did and I wonder daily if we did the right thing. I'm a huge advocate of keeping kids rear facing to 35lbs and keeping kids harnessed to higher ages and weight limits.

My six year old puts the silverware away from the dishwasher, makes her bed, and carries all the dirty clothes hampers to the laundry room. My four year old takes the garbage out to the big garbage can, carries the dirty dishes to the counter by the sink, and makes sure that all his dirty clothes are in the hamper. Just some of the ones we do at our house! Hope it helps!

Thanks Tauna! Dh and I are arguing over what type of chores they should be expected to do at their age.

My nephews are 6 and 4. They make their beds, clean up their rooms, stuff like that. I think my sister has them help in the yard some too (with close supervision). I think it's reasonable for them to have chores!!

Hey, I gave you a whole list of things through text the other day. Do I have to relist them all for you?

No Crystal I have them! Just getting a few more ideas before I set down the rules.

Personally I think a 6 year old could totally iron clothes, clean the bathroom, move furniture. A 4 year old probably needs something light like filing the monthly bills away. No heavy lifting for them.
